Sims Lifecycle Services Recognized in the 2026 Gartner® “Market Guide for IT Asset Disposition”

Sims Lifecycle Services (SLS) is proud to be recognized for the sixth time¹ in the latest Gartner® “Market Guide for IT Asset Disposition.

It should come as no surprise that artificial intelligence is the biggest dynamic in the new report, and many ITAD vendors, including SLS, are already deploying AI as a competitive differentiator.

AI-enabled solutions are not only transforming ITAD efficiency and cost performance, they are driving a new era of ITAD proficiency and scalability.

AI and machine learning are instrumental in SLS’s vision to deliver the most advanced end-to-end global solution. Our AI-powered digital twin, for one example, replicates our Circular Center in a virtual environment, allowing us to capture live site data, predict production needs, anticipate bottlenecks and optimize workflows across the lifecycle process.

As in previous years, sustainability and asset reuse is a primary feature in the report, as Gartner notes “ITAD is increasingly focused on the sustainable benefits of extending the life cycle of technology assets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and e-waste. Circular ITAD practices represent an opportunity to maximize the useful life of technology through a second or, potentially, a third deployment of the same asset.”

According to the report, “ITAD processes and service providers are gaining CxO attention as the reuse of IT assets and components has become one of the top initiatives organizations are currently pursuing to mitigate Scope 3 emissions and attain their e-waste targets.”

SLS Chief Commercial Officer Sean Magann, noting SLS’s global scale and long-term investment in circular infrastructure, says “It’s entirely expected that Fortune 500 corporations are turning to global, end-to-end ITAD vendors to redeploy their in-demand equipment in this day of supply-chain constraints. SLS has been preparing to meet this moment for several years and we’re proud to be at the forefront of scaling circularity for the world’s largest enterprise clients.”

SLS brings deep expertise in refurbishing and remarketing pre-owned IT assets and is regularly recognized as one of the world’s largest and most sustainable ITAD organizations. We consistently innovate to optimize value recovery and maximize carbon reduction across every stage of asset disposition.

To date, our automated redeployment services have delivered more than $1 billion in cost savings and an estimated 150,000 metric tons of carbon avoidance to our clients, illustrating the level of performance and sustainability outcomes our enterprise clients can expect as they modernize and optimize their ITAD programs.
